Customer privacy is built into EyeSaaS. Below is an overview of privacy-related issues and how EyeSaaS handles them.

Area of Interest EyeSaaS Response
Privacy rules and regulations EyeSaaS services are compliant with EU privacy regulations.
The types of data EyeSaaS collects Per device, we collect the following data:

  • IP address
  • MAC address
  • Serial number
  • LAN, WAN, WLAN setup, WLAN name
  • Traffic statistics such as data speed, quantity, number of devices, etcetera.

We do not collect:

  • Passwords of any kind
  • Identifying information per customer (any link between customer ID and device ID is stored by the service provider)
  • Content history (browsing, video, tv, etc)
The uses for this data The service providers can use this data to:

  • Provide customer support and troubleshooting
  • Aggregate statistics on network usage
  • Customize and improve services and develop new services
Data storage location All data is stored in the EyeSaaS private enterprise cloud, and each customer is given their own server instance of the EyeSaaS service platform. One service provider cannot access another service provider's instance or data.
The private enterprise cloud is hosted by our partner Zemware in their data center in Varberg, Sweden.
Data storage time Data per customer persists in the system as long as the customer is with the same service provider. Aggregated statistics are stored indefinitely.
Access to data Each service provider controls staff access to EyeSaaS services and to information that lets them link a customer ID in the EyeSaaS system to an identifiable customer.
EyeSaaS employees do not have access to any identifying information. Select EyeSaaS staff has access to anonymized data through access control.
Secure communication Whether or not the communication between EyeSaaS and the device is secure depends on what each device supports and how the ISP has chosen to configure it.
So, can you monitor what people do online? No, we do not see or collect any information on what sites and services are accessed, and so on. Only traffic statistics.
